Prices quoted generally include all costs during
your journey, except drinks which you pay for as you go. Costs are
quoted as a cost per person and vary depending on the size of your party. You can either provide your own transport or that
can be arranged for you, including airport pick-up.
If you have your own transport, but do not
have space in your vehicle, your guide will arrange his own transport. A typical day trip will include visits to two or
three villages with a stop for lunch in an auberge, where food will be
freshly cooked for you. You will not be asked for admission fees or
tips, which are included in the rate. However, keen photographers
may wish to purchase some cola nuts as gifts for the photogenic locals who
seem happy enough to pose for a handful of these prized commodities.
For availability or to get more details of the tours
on offer, please contact Barou by telephone or email. Please note
that, although tours can be arranged at any time of year, the months of
April to June should be avoided due to excessive heat and July to October
is the rainy season, so travel is difficult, slow and unpredictable.
The following day trips will
give you a good impression of the area, although you can request specific
itineraries to suit your party. However, bear in mind that it is
difficult to cover large distances in one day on the rather awful tracks.
